MDAO uses a message board style for our on-line forum, and is not intended to be an on-line chat. In an on-line chat environment, everyone participating, including the moderator is signed in at the same time and can respond instantly to a question or concern. In MDAO's message board style forum, the posts are left to be picked up and responded to by the other participants when they sign in to the forums. It may still take several hours to receive a reply from another member or a moderator. Please note that MDAO is not mandated as a distress facility, and our volunteer moderators are not medically trained professionals. Our volunteers monitor the site to ensure the appropriateness of discussions and will direct anyone exhibiting obvious signs of distress to seek immediate medical assistance.
